Google has rolled out a significant update for its Chromebook Plus laptops, introducing a host of new AI features. Among these are Gemini, integrated into the devices for the first time, and Magic Editor, which now offers unlimited edits.
AI Tools Now Available
Chromebook Plus users can now enjoy a suite of AI tools, including:
- Magic Editor: This photo correction software, also available on Pixel phones, is now accessible without restrictions, allowing unlimited edits.
- Help Me Write: This feature uses AI to help create headlines or bodies of text based on simple instructions.
- Generative AI for Wallpapers: Users can create custom background wallpapers for their desktop or video calls, compatible with apps like Google Meet and Zoom.
Chat with Gemini and Free Subscription
The latest update also includes Chat with Gemini, allowing users to interact with the AI system directly from the home screen. New Chromebook Plus models come with a 12-month free subscription to Gemini Advanced, part of the Google One AI Premium plan, which includes 2TB of cloud storage.
