According to renowned Apple analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the upcoming M4 processors will prioritize AI capabilities. M4 Mac Lineup: What to Expect

Apple’s roadmap for the M4 Mac rollout is as follows:

• Late 2024: A budget-friendly 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro and an updated M4 iMac
• Late 2024 to Early 2025: High-performance 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro and/or Max variants, along with M4-powered Mac mini models (standard and Pro versions)
• Spring 2025: M4 updates for the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air
• Mid-2025: Launch of the M4 Mac Studio
• Second Half of 2025: Introduction of the Mac Pro with the M4 Ultra processor

Interestingly, the Mac Pro might skip a processor generation, transitioning directly from the current M2 Ultra to the M4 Ultra in 2025. Gurman suggests that while Apple has been testing an M3 Ultra internally, some of its high-end desktops are likely to make the leap from M2 to M4 next year.
