The AI Obsession
Since the introduction of ChatGPT in November 2022, a significant portion of the scientific, business, and media communities have been captivated by AI. A brief examination of my own published work during this time frame reveals that I am among those who have fallen under its spell. In my defense, I share with my fellow enthusiasts a conviction that large language models are at the forefront of a transformative era. While it’s possible that I’m immersed in the generative AI hype, I firmly believe that the AI advancements within our grasp will not only revolutionize the way we work but also reshape the structure of businesses and, ultimately, the trajectory of humanity.
Maybe I’m swimming in generative Kool-Aid, but I believe AI advances within our grasp will change not only the way we work, but the structure of businesses, and ultimately the course of humanity.
