Indeed Revamps Profile Page and Introduces AI-Powered Features to Streamline Job Search and Recruitment
Enhanced User Profiles and Multiple Resume Support
Indeed, the prominent job search platform, has unveiled a redesigned profile page for its users, introducing an AI-powered writer to assist in crafting compelling work experience descriptions. Additionally, the platform now allows individuals to save up to five resumes, enabling them to select the most relevant version when applying for different job roles. These new features are set to roll out in the near future, as announced by Indeed.
Increased Visibility to Recruiters
Indeed has also made changes to the user profile visibility settings, making profiles visible to recruiters by default. This change aims to enhance the chances of job seekers being discovered by potential employers, and the setting can be easily accessed and modified on the user’s settings page.
Smart Sourcing Suite for Recruiters
To address the issue of irrelevant outreach, Indeed has introduced a smart sourcing suite for recruiters. This suite includes advanced search filters and AI-powered candidate summaries, enabling employers to identify the most suitable candidates for their job openings.
The smart sourcing suite also incorporates AI-powered smart messaging and automated interview scheduling. The AI-assisted messaging tool allows hiring managers to create or modify communication with job seekers effortlessly. During the testing phase, Indeed reported that recruiters who utilized the smart sourcing feature saved up to six hours per week.
Ensuring Responsible AI Usage
To address concerns regarding potential biases or the omission of key details in AI-powered summaries, Indeed employs a responsible AI team dedicated to preventing harm. This team works to ensure that the AI-generated content is accurate, unbiased, and comprehensive.
Indeed’s Focus on Getting People Hired
Deepti Patibandla, Senior Director of Product at Indeed, emphasized the company’s primary goal of facilitating the hiring process:
“While LinkedIn is more of a professional social network or a platform, at Indeed, we want to get more people hired. That is the core value of our business. As a differentiator, we want to make the hiring process easier,” she said.
Indeed aims to ensure that job seekers find the right opportunities without being overwhelmed by irrelevant job listings. The company sees long-term potential in helping users chart their career trajectories through the Indeed platform.
Despite recent layoffs affecting 2,200 employees, or 15% of its staff, Indeed remains committed to its mission of simplifying the job search and recruitment process through innovative AI-powered features and a user-centric approach.
